Dr. Roshan M. D’Souza obtained a Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley in 2003, an M.S. from Arizona State University in 1999, and a B.E. from Karnataka Regional Engineering College in 1995, all in Mechanical Engineering.
Between 2003-2009 he was an assistant professor and promoted associate professor with tenure in the Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics Department at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI. Since 2009 August, he is an associate professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
He is the reciepient of several awards including the 2009 NSF CAREER award, the 2008 ASME Computers and Information in Engineering Young Engineer Award and the 2002 ASME Computers and Information in Engineering Best Paper Award.
His current research interests are in high performance computing, stochastic simulation algorithms, and complex systems. He teaches classes in control systems, robotics and mechatronics.
